Terms of service

The terms

In short: you rent out your rooms and desks, we provide the tool. The booking itself is between you and the person who books. Pay for your plan, use it fairly, and you can leave any time with your data.

Who we are

FloorKite is run by Zumrut Labs (Business ID [Y-tunnus]), Helsinki, Finland – "we" in these terms. "You" is the organisation that uses Booking to let people book its spaces, and the people who manage it in FloorKite.

Questions: [contact e-mail address].

The service

FloorKite lets you draw your floor plans, put your rooms and desks on a booking page, take requests and bookings, and – if you choose – take payments for them. We keep improving it, so features can change; we won't take away something central to your plan without telling you in advance.

Your responsibilities

Fair use

Don't use FloorKite for anything illegal, to send spam, to collect data you're not allowed to, or to harm other people or the service – for example by trying to break into it, overload it or get around its limits. We may suspend accounts that do, after a warning where that's reasonable.

Data

For the personal data of the people who book, you are the controller and we are your processor. Our data processing agreement is part of these terms. How we handle data in general is described in the privacy notice.

Your data is yours: you can download your bookings (Reports → Download CSV) at any time.

Availability

We work to keep FloorKite running and your data safe, with backups. Still, like any online service it can be interrupted now and then – for maintenance, or by problems with our providers. We don't promise a set uptime on the current plans.

Ending

Liability

We're responsible for doing our part with care. We're not liable for indirect losses such as lost income or bookings, and our total liability is limited to the fees you've paid us in the 12 months before the event. These limits don't apply to damage caused on purpose or by gross negligence, or where the law doesn't allow them.

Law and changes

Finnish law applies. Disputes go to the Helsinki District Court, unless you're a consumer and the law gives you the right to another court or to the Consumer Disputes Board.

We may update these terms. For changes that matter, we'll email organisations at least 30 days before they apply; continuing to use FloorKite after that means accepting them.
